|Robert E. "Rob" Robinson Sr. age 61 died Friday February 8, 2008 at the Gibson General Hospital in Princeton. He was a heavy equipment operator for Duke Energy for 42 years. He lived in Princeton since 1995 moving here from Mt. Carmel. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Evansville, where he sang in the church choir. He loved music. He enjoyed woodworking and his tractors. He was also a member of the K of C in Princeton.
Rob was born March 3, 1946 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to Eugene & Ruth Isabella (Camp) Robinson, who both preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his brother, William Richard Bagshaw.
Rob is survived by his wife, Carol (Young) Robinson of Princeton; sons & daughter-in-law, Troy Robinson of New Albany, IN and Robert "Rob" & Tonya Robinson Jr. of Princeton; daughter, Rachel Robinson Campbell of Mt. Carmel, IL; step-son and his wife, David & Shannon Conekin of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Melinda, Joshua, and Abigail Robinson, Adam Voelker, Damien Campbell, and Kelsie, MaKayla & Emily Conekin; sister, Gladys (Martin) Haycraft of Clarksville, IN; brother, Gary (Linda) Robinson of Ona, WV.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Evansville, with Fr. Steve Lintzenich officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Friday at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with a prayer services at 4 p.m.
